Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Flakey Dryskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Just Another Victim by Helmet & House of Pain. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Flakey Dryskin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kurt Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dryskin misses with the combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Liddell is defended easily by Dryskin.
Flakey Dryskin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dryskin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Liddell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dryskin.
Dryskin misses with a wild combination.
Dryskin clobbers Liddell with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Dryskin misses with a double jab.

Liddell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dryskin to the mat! Dryskin manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Liddell wants the takedown. Dryskin is fighting it off but Liddell persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dryskin's guard against the cage.

Dryskin has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Liddell off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Liddell shoots in looking for a takedown. Dryskin tries to sprawl out of it but Liddell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dryskin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dryskin changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dryskin throws a series of punches but Liddell avoids them all with ease.
Dryskin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kurt Liddell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Liddell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Liddell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dryskin is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Liddell misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Liddell is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dryskin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Flakey Dryskin's cut is getting worse.
The referee warns Dryskin that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Liddell cracks Dryskin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.


Jeez, Flakey Dryskin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Flakey Dryskin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kurt Liddell!
