The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hatcher throws a head kick that misses.
Hatcher pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A bone on bone clash there as Silva blocks the leg kick.
Silva avoids the head kick by Hatcher.
Hatcher tries a head kick but it misses.
Hatcher throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hatcher is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Hatcher is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Silva.
Hatcher moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hatcher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hatcher is breathing heavily.
Silva lands a nice shot to the body.
Silva cracks Hatcher with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hatcher tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Silva pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hatcher is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
