The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliyev blocks a jab.
Aliyev turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Aliyev slips under a jab.
A nice inside leg kick there by Aliyev. That's going to slow Tasaki down.
Tasaki takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hero Tasaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tasaki takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Tasaki misses with a hook. Aliyev ducked under it nicely.
Tasaki pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tasaki throws a looping overhand right but Aliyev ducks down to avoid it.
Tasaki throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Aliyev uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tasaki.
Aliyev scores with a shot to the body.
Tasaki loads up on a big right hand but Aliyev slips the punch.
Jab, jab by Aliyev - just one landing.
Aliyev bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tasaki's head.

Tasaki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Aliyev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tasaki misses with a hook. Aliyev ducked under it nicely.
Aliyev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tasaki throws out the jab.

Aliyev closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Tasaki actively working from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aliyev is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Tasaki is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
