Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lars Olofsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cormier's choice of entrance music: Pharoahe Monch - Simon Says. On his way into the cage it seems that Lars Olofsson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lars Olofsson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormier throws a series of punches but Olofsson avoids them all with ease.
Olofsson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cormier was well out of range. Poor timing from Olofsson.
Some wild striking there from Cormier.
Olofsson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Good exchange - Olofsson coming out on top.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cormier looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cormier tries to bum rush Olofsson with a series of wild strikes but Olofsson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Olofsson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Olofsson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cormier dives on top into guard.
Olofsson wants to sweep here but Cormier controlling him for the moment.

Cormier decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Olofsson, up you get!

and Olofsson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cormier's guard now.

Olofsson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cormier looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cormier looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cormier!
Cormier wants to stand but Olofsson has his arm trapped.
Olofsson can't do much from the bottom here.
Olofsson sneaks back into half guard.
It looks like Cormier is going to stand back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cormier is looking to stall here but Olofsson recovers full guard.
Olofsson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cormier is looking to stand up but Olofsson won't let him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cormier wants to get back to his feet.

Olofsson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Cormier is wriggling around trying to escape.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Olofsson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
