Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kooch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mal Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kooch comes into the arena with Rusko - Tru Powwa blaring out of the sound system. Mal Reynolds will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kooch fails to land the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kooch is defended easily by Reynolds.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kooch checks a leg kick.

Kooch closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Reynolds lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kooch circles away quickly and effectively.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kooch goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Reynolds is on top in guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Kooch dives in and grabs Reynolds's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reynolds pushes down on Kooch's head and hops out.
Horrible takedown by Kooch or perhaps it was just good defense by Reynolds which made him look bad.

Reynolds throws a lazy right hand but Kooch sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kooch swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Reynolds is now in Kooch's guard. A big mistake from Kooch there, giving up the dominant position!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reynolds controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Kooch is looking for a triangle here but Reynolds uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Reynolds tries to get to his feet but Kooch is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Reynolds in his guard.

Kooch has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Reynolds is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kooch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kooch manages to reverse the position and now he's in Reynolds's guard. Nice work there by Kooch.

Mike Kooch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Reynolds wants to sweep but no luck.

Kooch drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reynolds manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kooch has Reynolds in his guard.
Kooch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well Reynolds has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
