Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Alito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Alito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rod Rico!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Rico does no damage.
Alito closes the distance and clinches.
Rico controlling the action here for a moment.
Rico on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rico has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Rico can't break the clinch.
Alito connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Rod Rico has been cut.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Alito just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rico's brow.
Alito misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rico.
Rico wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Alito has him pressed against the cage.
Alito using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rico has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Alito tries to land a knee to the head but Rico blocks with his arms.
Rico blocks an elbow strike.
Alito lands a right hand that snaps the head of Rico backwards.
Alito missing with knees to the body.
Alito lands a damaging elbow.
Rico is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Alito lands a nice shot to the body.
Rico tries to break free but Alito pushes him back against the cage.
Alito tries to land knees in the clinch but Rico avoids the damage to the body.
Alito unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rico lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Rico looks gassed!
Rico breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rico tries to bum rush Alito with a series of wild strikes but Alito uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alito throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alito tries to clinch but Rico is having none of it.
Rico avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rico moves out of range as Alito strikes.
Alito throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Alito bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Alito misses with a head kick.
Rico misses with a few strikes there.
A big left from Alito misses.
Alito takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
A jab from Alito finds it's way through Rico's defenses.
Alito ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Alito missing with a left hand there. Rico was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rico uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alito.
Rico misses the body punch
and Alito cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That has opened up Rod Rico's cut even more.
Alito ducks right into an uppercut from Rico.
Alito fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rico is out of range.
Alito tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rico paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rico looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Rico throws a hook to the side of Alito's head but Alito sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rico getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Rico waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Alito.
Rico falls off balance throwing a combination
and Alito connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rico is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rico bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Alito comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Rico falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Rico was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sam Alito!
