The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lester gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lester wants to slow Laguna down by chopping away at his legs.

Lester does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Laguna lands a nice hook to Lester's body. Lester takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Moe Lester seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lester tries to close the distance and clinch but Laguna swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Laguna lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Laguna.

Lester takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Laguna fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lester.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
