The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Omega tries to close the distance and clinch up but Richards swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Richards throws a nice inside leg kick.
Mickey Richards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Omega fails with the takedown.
Omega tries to clinch there but Richards circles away.
Richards throws a body punch but Omega moves out of range.
Richards misses with the combination.

Richards decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Richards passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Omega!

Omega is in a horrible position here. Richards smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Rich Omega has been cut.
