Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Cornish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Lingad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lingad is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kinda Like a Big Deal - Clipse Ft. Kanye West. Jeremy Cornish has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Lingad!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lingad scoring well with a low kick there.

Cornish is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lingad defends it well.
Lingad is concentrating on defense, preventing Cornish from advancing position.

Cornish throws a strike but Lingad rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lingad keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cornish's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lingad shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cornish as he jumps to the side.
Jeremy Cornish is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cornish has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lingad finds it's way round the side to connect with Cornish's head.
Cornish throws a series of punches but Lingad moves out of range.
Lingad ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cornish takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Jeremy Cornish has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lingad pulls Cornish in close to his closed guard and prevents Cornish from doing any damage or advancing position.
Lingad manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cornish manages to get himself to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Lingad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lingad has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
