Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sean Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benji Cada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benji Cada is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Michaels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benji Cada!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels shoots for a takedown but Cada saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Michaels has a takedown stuffed.
Michaels shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cada as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Michaels. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Michaels throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Michaels gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Michaels looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Cada passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cada trying to control the pace.
Michaels scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Cada manages to mount him!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Michaels working to try and regain half guard.
Cada content just to control the position here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Michaels tries to hold on but Cada postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Michaels wants to control but Cada is having none of it.
Michaels is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benji Cada dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Michaels fails with the takedown

and Cada counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Michaels wants to control the action here but instead Cada manages to pass to full mount!

Michaels is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Cada looking to control and managing it successfully.
Michaels working to try and regain half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cada blocks Michaels's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Michaels tries to reverse the position but Cada maintains control.

Cada tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Michaels tries to improve his position but instead Cada has taken his back!
Michaels tries to escape the position.
Michaels trying to control but not successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
I would not like to be Michaels right now.
Cada avoiding Michaels 's attempts to control his hands.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Michaels wants to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benji Cada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Michaels closes the distance looking to clinch

and Cada counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Michaels is looking for a triangle but Cada pushes his legs off easily.

Michaels looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cada has picked Michaels up and slammed him! Michaels can't keep hold of the triangle and Cada manages to pass to side control!
Cada staying calm.

Michaels can't do much from the bottom here.
Michaels is being controlled here.
Benji Cada is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Michaels is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Cada is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Cada working away.
Michaels is letting Cada control him for a moment.
Michaels regains half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Michaels wants to improve his position but Cada is controlling well.
Michaels is trying to stand back up but Cada is controlling him
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cada looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sean Michaels has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
Benji Cada comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cada has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
