Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gegard Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox comes to the cage accompanied by 2nd Round KO. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fox uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Belfort.
Fox thows a body shot but no joy.
Fox displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Belfort throws out the jab.
Fox keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fox defending well as Belfort loads up on a big left hand.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fox.
Fox misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Fox misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Belfort gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Fox jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Belfort is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Belfort and Fox has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Fox thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Belfort is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Fox swings around for an armbar but Belfort sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Fox's guard.
Belfort would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fox shoots for a double leg takedown but Belfort sprawls well. He's pushed Fox's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Belfort throws a hook but Fox blocks it.
Belfort loads up on a big right hand but Fox slips the punch.
A shot to the body from Belfort misses
enabling Fox to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Gegard Belfort has been cut.
Belfort throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fox counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fox tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Fox counters with a beautiful punch that sends Belfort to the canvas!

Belfort is rocked!

Fox is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Belfort is still in real trouble! Can Fox finish him?
Fox is looking to work some ground and pound but Belfort has wrist control.
Belfort seems to have recovered his senses.

Fox looking to sit in guard and control but Belfort gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Belfort wants to stand but Fox has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fox ducks under a wild hook from Belfort.
Fox throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Belfort looks to throw the jab but Fox is out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fox is defended easily by Belfort.
Belfort swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Fox counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fox throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fox has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fox thows a huge punch but Belfort dodges it nicely.

Fox stalling away here and it's allowed Belfort to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Fox sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Belfort's guard.
Fox is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Belfort!

Fox lands a big shot there that rocks Belfort but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Fox swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Belfort is now in Fox's guard. A big mistake from Fox there, giving up the dominant position!

Fox has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Fox is trying to maintain the position but Belfort is very close to passing his half guard.

Belfort swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Fox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That has opened up Gegard Belfort's cut even more.
Fox slips a straight right by Belfort.
Belfort throws a combination that misses
and Belfort takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fox misses with a takedown attempt - Belfort sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Belfort is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fox.

Fox uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Belfort.
Fox is trying hard to land a takedown here. Belfort sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Belfort takes a swing at Fox's ribcage but misses.

Belfort throws a shot from downtown. Fox moves away and avoids it.
Gegard Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Belfort, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Belfort looks to land a right hand but Fox moved out of range.
Fox shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Belfort pinned against the cage. Belfort gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Fox. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fox lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Gegard Belfort's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
