PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Killer Heat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adonis Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Adonis Silva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva connects with a single shot there.
Silva looks to land a right hand but Heat moved out of range.
Heat defending well as Silva loads up on a big left hand.

Silva looks for a takedown but Heat sprawls well.

Silva keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Heat moves away.

Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Heat was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Heat on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Heat tries to get out of the position.
Silva wants to stand but Heat has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Heat uses the cage to get back to his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Silva misses the target.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Silva scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Heat is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Silva asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Heat trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Silva stands up and beckons Heat to his feet.

and Silva counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Silva wants to control but Heat is keeping him busy.
Silva seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
