PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brunson Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doyle comes into a darkened arena with his song building. On To The Next One kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fred Collins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brunson Doyle!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins throws a half hearted mid kick.
Collins throws a right and a left that both miss.
Doyle is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Collins.

It looks like Brunson Doyle has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Doyle throws a hook to the side of Collins's head but Collins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Doyle moves in looking to clinch but Collins pushes him off.
Collins throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Doyle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Collins throws an overhand right that lands on Doyle's shoulder, as Doyle tries to avoid the shot.
Doyle keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Collins.
Collins misses with a few strikes there.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Doyle.
Collins moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Doyle throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Collins is breathing heavily.

Doyle has taken the fight to the clinch.
Doyle cracks Collins with a nice body shot.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Doyle.
Doyle lands a body shot in the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Doyle.
Nice body punch from Doyle.
A right hand to the body from Doyle.
A right handed body shot lands from Doyle.
A short body shot lands from Doyle as the two fighters clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Doyle pushes Collins back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Doyle breaks from the clinch.
Doyle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Collins circles away quickly and effectively.
Collins keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Doyle.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Doyle, as that shot connected.

Doyle has taken the fight to the clinch.
Nice body punch from Doyle.
Doyle manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Doyle pushes Collins back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doyle stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
A body shot lands from Doyle.

Doyle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Doyle sends Collins crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Doyle is motioning to the referee to let Collins up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Collins is rocked!

It looks like Fred Collins has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Doyle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Doyle cracks Collins with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Collins tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Doyle pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Collins is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
