PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Slippery Posey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Cheese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Posey is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Posey avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Posey is breathing heavily.

Posey tries to keep at a distance but Cheese has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cheese lands a nice elbow.

Cheese has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head and Posey goes down! Cheese dives on top of him - Posey manages to get guard.

Posey is rocked!

It looks like Slippery Posey has been cut.
Posey keeping moving, preventing Cheese from controlling successfully.
Oh Posey is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Posey throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Cheese drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cheese jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cheese passes Posey's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Posey seems to have got his legs back now.
Posey is looking to improve his position.

Posey is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Cheese goes for an armbar but Posey turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Posey.

Posey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cheese swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cheese tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Cheese is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cheese not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Cheese looking for a guillotine here but Posey defends easily.
Cheese wants to sweep but no luck.
Cheese is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Cheese has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Posey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cheese has his foot on Posey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Posey works his way back into a safe position though.

Posey wants to get up but he can't break Cheese's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cheese had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Posey is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cheese Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Posey's back instead.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cheese has got one arm under Posey's chin. This could be trouble... Posey trying to control the other hand but Cheese gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Posey has tapped out! The fight is over!
