Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tadeusz Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Wigfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tadeusz Kowalski looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Wigfield!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wigfield blocks a head kick by Kowalski.
Wigfield looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Wigfield keeps the fight on the outside.
Kowalski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wigfield avoids it really well and circles away.

Wigfield shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wigfield was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kowalski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kowalski wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Kowalski tries to escape but Wigfield has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kowalski just trying to survive but Wigfield is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Wigfield struggling to land strikes to the head as Kowalski covers up.
Kowalski can't escape the position.
Wigfield somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Wigfield has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Wigfield has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Wigfield is trying to stick to Kowalski's back but Kowalski is turning into Wigfield. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wigfield's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kowalski.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch but Wigfield swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wigfield slips a jab and a cross from Kowalski.
Kowalski wants to clinch.

Wigfield gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kowalski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Wigfield counters with a shoot takedown. Kowalski fights it but they end up in guard.

Wigfield lands a nice looking body kick.
Wigfield stuffs the takedown attempt from Kowalski. Kowalski gets slowly back to his feet.
No joy there for Kowalski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wigfield walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kowalski lands with a kick to the temple. Wigfield shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Kowalski is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Wigfield is controlling him well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kowalski struggling a bit here.
Kowalski parries the strikes from Wigfield easily there. Wigfield is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kowalski to escape.
Kowalski avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Wigfield.

Wigfield has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kowalski fails with a takedown attempt.

Kowalski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wigfield on the side of the head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wigfield seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Jamie Wigfield showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Wigfield stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Wigfield keeps the fight on the outside.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wigfield looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kowalski!

Wigfield is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kowalski has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kowalski!
