And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Cornwall!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornwall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cornwall fails with a takedown attempt.
Pyle swats away the attempt to clinch by Cornwall.

Pyle drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cornwall is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cornwall keeping moving, preventing Pyle from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pyle trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cornwall's guard.
Pyle wants to control from the top but Cornwall keeps moving.
Pyle is in close to Cornwall's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Cornwall had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pyle is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cornwall Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pyle's back instead.

Pyle is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Cornwall doesn't have the hooks in and Pyle manages to turn into his guard.
Pyle wants to control from the top but Cornwall keeps moving.

Cornwall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pyle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cornwall has his foot on Pyle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pyle works his way back into a safe position though.

Pyle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cornwall works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cornwall is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
