Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Estrada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Jorge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Estrada comes to the cage accompanied by Alice in Chains - Man In The Box . Jorge has chosen So far away as his entrance music. Jose Estrada could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fernando Jorge's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Estrada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fernando Jorge!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Estrada rushes Jorge and presses him up against the cage.

Jorge manages to pull guard.

Estrada gets to his feet - Jorge follows without any prompting.
Estrada doesn't manage to clinch there - Jorge circles away.
Estrada shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jorge pinned against the cage. Jorge gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jorge shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Estrada's guard.
Jorge would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Jorge gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Estrada counters by clinching up.
Estrada is trying to drag Jorge to the mat but Jorge just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Estrada wants to pass the guard but Jorge is defending well.

Estrada wants to free his trapped foot but Jorge is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Estrada had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jorge defends it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jorge wants to stand but Estrada has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Estrada is looking to regain half guard here but Jorge keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jorge thows a body shot but no joy.

Estrada shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Estrada was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Estrada scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Jorge tries to lock up and control but Estrada gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jose Estrada will probably get the nod.

Estrada drops back looking for a leg! Jorge is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jorge manages to kick Estrada off! Estrada jumps back into Jorge's guard.

Jorge throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Estrada blocks it with crossed arms.

Estrada goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jorge prevents it.

Estrada gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

You get the feeling that Estrada really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Jorge gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Estrada closes the distance but Jorge moves to the side

and Jorge counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jorge.
Jorge passes Estrada's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Jorge wants to take a breather but Estrada is having none of it.
Fernando Jorge has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
