The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepherd on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Jackson throws out a loose jab but Shepherd uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shepherd keeps the fight on the outside.
Shepherd uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shepherd.
Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Shepherd is just out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Jackson blocks the leg kick.
Good leg kick by Shepherd there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Shepherd does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shepherd avoids a kick to the body.
Shepherd buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jackson slips a jab from Shepherd.
Jackson tries to clinch but Shepherd is having none of it.
Shepherd throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jackson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Jackson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Shepherd.
Jackson moves out of range of the leg kick from Shepherd.
Jackson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shepherd momentarily.

Jackson avoids a kick to the body.

Jackson throws the left hand but Shepherd avoids the punch easily.
Shepherd throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shepherd manages to avoid it.
Jackson scores with a nice head shot.
Jackson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Shepherd's head backwards.
Jackson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shepherd sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jackson jabs at Shepherd's body.
Jackson tests Shepherd's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Shepherd is rocked!
Gus Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shepherd loses concentration momentarily and Jackson pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Shepherd crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Jackson finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
