The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddum swinging wildly here.

Riddum moves into the clinch successfully.
Riddum looks to throw an elbow but misses.
X holding his opponent close, against the cage.
X tries to score a body lock takedown but Riddum shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
X blocking some punches.
X drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
X tries for a takedown but Riddum manages to get underhooks.
Heckofa Riddum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Symphony X.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riddum scores with a shoulder strike.
Riddum wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
X tries to pull guard but Riddum won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Riddum shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts X as he jumps to the side.
No luck for Riddum with that takedown attempt.

X shoots in and bounces Riddum off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Riddum wants to get back to his feet but X is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Riddum tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but X presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

X looking for a guillotine from mount but Riddum is having none of it.
Riddum is desperately trying to improve his position but X has a good base and remains in mount.

X is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! X extends the arm and Riddum is forced to tap!
