Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maelo Paulo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Johnsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnsson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kashmir - Led Zeppelin. Gunnar Johnsson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnsson catches Paulo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Paulo shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnsson sprawls well. He's pushed Paulo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnsson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Paulo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Paulo shoots in and drives through. Johnsson sprawls well.
Paulo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnsson tries to avoid it but Paulo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnsson to the ground. Johnsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maelo Paulo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnsson lands with a nice combination. Paulo backs away looking to recover.
Johnsson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Paulo's head.

Paulo dives in and grabs Johnsson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnsson pushes down on Paulo's head and hops out.
Paulo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Paulo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnsson but Johnsson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Johnsson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Paulo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Horrible takedown by Paulo or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnsson which made him look bad.
Paulo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnsson to score with a decent uppercut.
Gunnar Johnsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnsson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Paulo falls backwards - clearly groggy! Johnsson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
