Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lamar Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JeanPierre Kusela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kusela has chosen Paradise Lost - Small Town Boy as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kusela uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lewis.

Kusela changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lewis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kusela throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lewis dodges the ground and pound from Kusela.
Lewis avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kusela.
Kusela throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Kusela trying to control the action but Lewis is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kusela tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kusela postures up in Lewis's guard and throws a big left but Lewis blocks it.
Kusela stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lewis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kusela postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lewis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kusela to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kusela goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lewis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kusela but great work by Lewis.
