PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Norman Osborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Night Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall has chosen War as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Osborn closes the distance and clinches.
Osborn lands an elbow that stopped Hall in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Night Hall has been cut.

Osborn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Osborn lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Hall looks gassed!

Osborn clinches up against the cage.
Osborn crunches a lovely knee into Hall's ribcage.

Osborn decides to pull guard.

Osborn uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Osborn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hall as he jumps to the side.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hall doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Osborn throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Osborn throws a head kick that Hall semi-blocks.
Osborn goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

That has opened up Night Hall's cut even more.
Osborn lands with a slapping head kick.

Osborn darts in and clinches Hall up against the cage.
Osborn lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Osborn gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Osborn gets to his feet - Hall follows without any prompting.
Osborn lands with a kick to the temple. Hall shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Osborn throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Osborn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Osborn moves into range and clinches up with Hall.

Osborn digs a right hand underneath Hall's ribcage. Hall let out a lung full of air as it connected.

The cut above Night Hall's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Osborn digs a right hand into Hall's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hall's gas tank.

Osborn lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hall takes an elbow to the temple.

Osborn decides to pull guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Osborn wants to stand up but Hall is controlling him.

Osborn is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hall takes a shot to the head.

Osborn has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hall clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Osborn is riding his opponent, not letting Hall buck him off.
Osborn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hall rolls, trying to escape but Osborn keeps control of the position.
Osborn really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Hall.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Norman Osborn just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Osborn moves into the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Osborn.

Night Hall's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Hall jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Osborn walks away with a smile on his face. Hall gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Osborn fakes the leg kick and cracks Hall in the body.

Osborn takes the fight into the clinch.
Osborn pushes Hall back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Osborn scores a nice knee to the body.
Osborn is pushing Hall up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Osborn lands an elbow that stopped Hall in his tracks for a moment.
Osborn's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Osborn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hall is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Osborn is keeping busy.
Hall takes a shot to the head.
Osborn avoids a wild elbow strike from Hall.
Hall goes for a takedown in the clinch but Osborn prevents it.
Osborn scores with a hook to the body.
Osborn lands a nice uppercut.

Osborn tries to score a body lock takedown but Hall shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Osborn pushes Hall back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Night Hall's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
