Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prof Baltazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prof Baltazar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Prof Baltazar!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Davis throws a series of punches but Baltazar avoids them all with ease.
Baltazar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Davis moves in looking to clinch but Baltazar pushes him off.
Davis shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Baltazar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Davis misses with a hook.
Davis misses with a series of wild punches.
Davis misses with a few strikes there.
A nice combination there by Davis.


It looks like Prof Baltazar has been cut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Baltazar checks a leg kick.
Davis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Davis goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Baltazar fails with the takedown.
Davis is looking to land body kicks.
Baltazar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Davis doesn't manage to clinch there - Baltazar circles away.
Davis scores with a nice strike.
Baltazar is still on wobbly legs! Can Davis finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A jab lands there for Davis.

Davis is looking to clinch.
Davis misses with a two punch combination.

Davis rushes Baltazar and presses him up against the cage.
Baltazar tries to break the clinch but Davis is controlling the position.
Davis wants to get back to striking at distance but Baltazar won't allow it.
Baltazar seems to have recovered his senses.
Baltazar misses with some punches.
Baltazar stalling in the clinch but Davis improves position.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Davis lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Baltazar is leaning against Davis and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Baltazar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Steve Davis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Davis throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Davis tries to clinch up but Baltazar circles away and keeps his distance.
A clash of legs there as Baltazar blocks the low kick.
Davis is breathing heavily.

Baltazar moves into the clinch successfully.
Davis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Baltazar has him pressed against the cage.
Davis wants to get back to striking at distance but Baltazar won't allow it.

Baltazar breaks from the clinch.

Davis throws out a loose jab but Baltazar uses good head movement to avoid it.

Steve Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Baltazar has managed to clinch.
Baltazar keeps control of Davis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Baltazar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baltazar shoots for a double leg takedown but Davis sprawls well. He's pushed Baltazar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Steve Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Prof Baltazar.
Baltazar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Baltazar shoots for a takedown but Davis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Baltazar shoots in and drives through. Davis sprawls well.

Baltazar tries to clinch but Davis moves out of range.
Baltazar is trying desperately to land a takedown but Davis is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Baltazar.
Baltazar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davis lands a jab-cross combination.

Baltazar has taken the fight to the clinch.

Baltazar breaks the clinch.
Baltazar tries to clinch but Davis moves out of range.
Davis throws a series of punches but Baltazar avoids them all with ease.

Baltazar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Baltazar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Oh Davis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Baltazar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Baltazar is landing with some decent strikes but Davis is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Baltazar cracks Davis with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Baltazar quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Baltazar but it's paid off an Davis is forced to tap! Nice work by Baltazar.
