Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nerdcok shoots in but no luck this time.
Horrible takedown by Nerdcok or perhaps it was just good defense by Hansen which made him look bad.
Nerdcok has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nerdcok there as he acknowledges the shot.

Nerdcok thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hansen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nerdcok defends it easily.
Nerdcok trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Nerdcok drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nerdcok jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hansen wants to stand and escape but Nerdcok is having none of it.

Nerdcok drops back looking for a leg! Hansen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hansen manages to kick Nerdcok off! Nerdcok jumps back into Hansen's guard.

Nerdcok stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hansen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nerdcok shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hansen as he avoids it easily.
Steffen Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leroy Nerdcok.
Hansen tests Nerdcok's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Leroy Nerdcok has been cut.

Nerdcok shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hansen is trying to defend but Nerdcok finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Nerdcok wants to work for an arm triangle but Hansen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hansen looks like he's trying to stand up.

Nerdcok is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hansen is just riding it out for now. Nerdcok eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nerdcok closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hansen circles away.
Nerdcok avoids a punch combination nicely.

Hansen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nerdcok is fending him off so far but Hansen persists. Nope, Nerdcok circles away and we're back to standing.
Hansen lands with a nice combination. Nerdcok backs away looking to recover.
Nerdcok steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hansen. That one must have hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
