The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buchanen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Buchanen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Velvet Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Jones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Buchanen's hands.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
Buchanen looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Buchanen throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Buchanen crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Ed Buchanen has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Buchanen is trying desperately to land a takedown but Jones is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Buchanen.

Jones closes the distance and pushes Buchanen back into the cage.
Buchanen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Buchanen seems to have recovered his senses.
Jones tries to circle away but Buchanen has him pinned against the cage.

Jones breaks the clinch.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Buchanen moves away.
Jones lands a left and a right that send Buchanen crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Jones is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Buchanen hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
