Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phillip E Cheesesteak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cheesesteak.
Hawk fails with an attempt to clinch.

Cheesesteak shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cheesesteak was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hawk keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hawk bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Cheesesteak has his foot on Hawk's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hawk works his way back into a safe position though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hawk shoots in for a takedown but Cheesesteak shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hawk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hawk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cheesesteak sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hawk somewhat.

Cheesesteak shoots in for a double leg but Hawk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Cheesesteak walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hawk.
Horrible takedown by Hawk or perhaps it was just good defense by Cheesesteak which made him look bad.
Hawk tries to clinch up but Cheesesteak circles away and keeps his distance.
Hawk throws a nice looking combination but Cheesesteak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hawk moves in looking to clinch but Cheesesteak pushes him off.
Nice shot lands for Cheesesteak.
Hawk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cheesesteak tries to avoid it but Hawk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cheesesteak to the ground. Cheesesteak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hawk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cheesesteak is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hawk pulls his head out easily.
Hawk is pressing down on Cheesesteak's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cheesesteak is holding on for now.
Cheesesteak tries to roll over but Hawk keeps him under control.

Cheesesteak slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Hawk keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cheesesteak's head.
Hawk wants to stand but Cheesesteak is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hawk got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cheesesteak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hawk has managed to get both his arms back between Cheesesteak's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hawk tries to stand but Cheesesteak is controlling from the bottom.

Cheesesteak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hawk doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hawk manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hawk wants to control from the top but Cheesesteak keeps moving.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cheesesteak throws a lazy right hand but Hawk sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Cheesesteak scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Cheesesteak is looking to take a break and control but Hawk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nice strikes from Cheesesteak there.

Cheesesteak looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hawk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hawk is not content to let Cheesesteak control the position.
Cheesesteak lands strikes from half guard.
Cheesesteak lands with a punch from half guard.
Cheesesteak landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hawk wants to improve his position but Cheesesteak is controlling well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Hawk shoots in and bounces Cheesesteak off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cheesesteak has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Cheesesteak is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hawk throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Cheesesteak's body to avoid the submission. Cheesesteak has instead reached around Hawk's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Cheesesteak arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Phillip E Cheesesteak!
