The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hanson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hanson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hanson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hanson manages to end up in side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
ahr tries to buck Hanson off but Hanson is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee asks Hanson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hanson prefers to stall for the moment though.
