Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Corliss Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dahvie Vanity!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanity misses with a hook.
Williams takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Williams tries for a takedown but Vanity sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Corliss Williams will probably get the nod.

Vanity ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.

Vanity tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Vanity throws a shot from downtown. Williams moves away and avoids it.

Williams moves out of range of the strikes.
Williams misses with a takedown
letting Vanity counter with a right hand.

Williams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vanity is fending him off so far but Williams persists. Nope, Vanity circles away and we're back to standing.

Vanity tries to keep at a distance but Williams has taken the fight into the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Vanity.

Williams is just content to waste time from the top position. Vanity takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Vanity is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Williams is pushing down on Vanity's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vanity is fighting to maintain full guard but Williams has managed to sneak the leg through.
Vanity takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Williams tries to advance to mount but can't.
Williams wants to control but Vanity is keeping him busy.
Corliss Williams overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Vanity looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Williams trying to control but Vanity is working from the bottom.
Vanity can't keep his opponent in guard - Williams advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Williams is keen to just control but Vanity is a slippery customer.
Williams uses his free foot to push down on Vanity's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vanity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Williams lands a big elbow.
Dahvie Vanity has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Williams takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Williams wants to finish this one by submission but Vanity is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Williams.
Corliss Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Williams will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Williams trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Vanity can't escape the position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Williams, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
