Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerard The Ghost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace has chosen Who shot Ya? as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gerard The Ghost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Wallace!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wallace connects with a looping right hand.
The Ghost moves in looking to clinch but Wallace pushes him off.
The Ghost looks to throw the jab but Wallace is out of range.
Wallace misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The Ghost darts in and clinches Wallace up against the cage.
The Ghost pressing his opponent against the cage.
The Ghost seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Wallace breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wallace ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Ghost moves away.

The Ghost fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wallace, pushing him back against the cage.
The Ghost misses with a shot to the kidneys.
The Ghost works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The Ghost tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
The Ghost misses with the head strike.
Wallace tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. The Ghost just stands there and leans against the cage.
The Ghost tries to work over Wallace's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
The Ghost can't find room to land a body shot as Wallace controls the action.
The Ghost is pushing Wallace up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Nice body punch from The Ghost - that landed with a thud.
The Ghost tries to work over Wallace's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Wallace tries for a takedown but The Ghost manages to get underhooks.
Gerard The Ghost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Wallace.

Wallace jumps guard and drags The Ghost to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The Ghost is looking to stand up but Wallace won't let him.

The Ghost lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Wallace tries to pull guard but The Ghost won't allow it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The Ghost fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wallace ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The Ghost wants to clinch
and Wallace makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The Ghost doesn't manage to clinch there - Wallace circles away.
The Ghost stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and The Ghost wants it to stay on the feet.
The Ghost looks to score with a jab to the body but Wallace is just out of range.
The Ghost tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wallace swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

so Wallace counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The Ghost is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wallace is controlling him.
The Ghost utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wallace wants to control from the top but The Ghost keeps moving.
Wallace thows a big elbow that misses.

Wallace stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Ghost swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The Ghost darts in and clinches Wallace up against the cage.
The Ghost stalling in the clinch but Wallace improves position.
The Ghost lands a hook to the side of the head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from The Ghost.
The Ghost tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Wallace's elbow.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as The Ghost takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

The Ghost is pushing Wallace up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The Ghost swings away with an uppercut that misses.

The Ghost swings wildly with an uppercut but Wallace uses good head movement to avoid it.
The Ghost slows down the pace here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The Ghost misses with a short punch on the inside.
The Ghost is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gerard The Ghost.
Wallace throws out a loose jab but The Ghost uses good head movement to avoid it.

Wallace is trying to get an arm triangle but The Ghost is defending well.
The strikes coming from Wallace are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The Ghost tries to escape but Wallace is in control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace lands some shots froms side control.

Chris Wallace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Chris Wallace is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wallace cracks The Ghost with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Wallace counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Wallace takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The Ghost tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Wallace counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wallace works his way into full mount!
The Ghost is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Wallace thowing shots but they're missing.

Wallace goes for an armbar but he's not got it… The Ghost turns into him and now he's in Wallace's guard.
Wallace is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Wallace has a closed guard, preventing The Ghost from standing up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chris Wallace comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wallace has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
