The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hopkins stuffs the takedown.
Hopkins looks to land a combination. Lessard sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Lessard fails with a takedown attempt.
Bernard Hopkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steffan Lessard.
Lessard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hopkins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lessard somewhat.
Lessard walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Hopkins lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lessard at a distance.
Hopkins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hopkins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hopkins wants it to stay on the feet.
Lessard looks gassed!

Lessard is rocked!
Steffan Lessard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hopkins ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Lessard out cold! The fight is over!
