Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Monfriesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Hemsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Johnny Monfriesz has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Johnny Monfriesz seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monfriesz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Monfriesz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hemsley pinned against the cage. Hemsley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A lazy left from Hemsley finds it's target.
Hemsley just misses with a punch to the body.
Jab, jab by Hemsley - just one landing.
Lars Hemsley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hemsley misses the shot to the body.
Monfriesz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Monfriesz misses with an attempted mid kick.

and Monfriesz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hemsley!

Monfriesz is working for a guillotine from mount but Hemsley frees his head quite easily.
Hemsley really wants to buck Monfriesz off and get back to his feet.
Hemsley is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Hemsley tries to hold on but Monfriesz pushes him away.
Hemsley is squirming around, avoiding Monfriesz's attempts to control the action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hemsley tries to hold on but Monfriesz pushes him away.
Monfriesz looking to control but Hemsley is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Monfriesz misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Monfriesz controlling the pace for now.
Monfriesz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hemsley for as long as he can get away with.
Monfriesz avoids the attempt from Hemsley to control.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Monfriesz will probably get the nod.

and Monfriesz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johnny Monfriesz.
Hemsley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hemsley looks to land a combination but Monfriesz avoids it well.

Monfriesz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hemsley lands a hook that stumbles Monfriesz back into the cage. Hemsley follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Monfriesz to the canvas! Hemsley pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Monfriesz has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
