Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julien Abessera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archie Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eminem - Almost Famous. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julien Abessera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Archie Bell!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Bell misses.
Bell misses with an uppercut. Abessera saw that one coming.
Bell throws a right and a left that Abessera avoids nicely.
Bell misses with a double jab.
Bell misses the jab.
Abessera swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bell throws a right hand that Abessera ducks under and follows up with a left that Abessera also avoids with ease.
Abessera takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Abessera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Abessera to score with a decent uppercut.
Bell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Abessera dodges the punch combination from Bell.

Abessera steps into range and cracks Bell with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Bell flops backwards and Abessera dives into his guard looking to finish!


It looks like Archie Bell has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bell is looking to stand up but Abessera isn't so interested in that idea.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abessera wants to control from the top but Bell keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Abessera won't allow Bell to get back to his feet.
Abessera controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Abessera has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Bell wants to stand but Abessera is controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Julien Abessera dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Archie Bell's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Abessera throws a looping overhand right but Bell ducks down to avoid it.
Abessera lands with a shot to the body.
Abessera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Abessera keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bell.
Abessera misses with a head kick.
A slow jab from Bell misses its intended target.
Bell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Abessera moves into the clinch.
Abessera creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Bell lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Abessera backwards.
Abessera blocking some punches.
Bell is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Abessera lands a knee to the body.

Bell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Abessera throws a series of punches but Bell avoids them all with ease.
Bell swinging wildly here.
Bell swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Abessera drives through and clinches with Bell against the cage.
Abessera comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Abessera.
A short left from Abessera.

Bell tries to break free but Abessera pushes him back against the cage.
Bell is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abessera can't get the takedown.
Bell blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Abessera unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Abessera putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Bell in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Abessera scores a nice knee to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A knee to the head by Abessera.
Abessera stalling.
Abessera lands a left hand.
Abessera's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Abessera looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Abessera moves away from the strike by Bell.
Bell avoids the head kick by Abessera.
Abessera dodges the punch combination from Bell.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bell throws the left hand but Abessera avoids the punch easily.
Bell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Julien Abessera is winning the standup battle so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abessera tries to clinch but Bell is having none of it.

Abessera rushes Bell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Abessera misses with a punch on the inside.
Abessera tries to land a knee to the head but Bell blocks with his arms.
Bell is working Abessera over against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Abessera creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Abessera stalling in the clinch.
Abessera blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Abessera lands a damaging elbow.
Bell fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Bell lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Abessera backwards.

Abessera is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bell can't fight it off and eventually Abessera manages to take the fight to the floor. Bell looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Abessera stops Bell from standing up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Abessera throwing strikes but missing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Abessera is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Abessera trying to move into half guard but instead Bell has managed to sweep!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Archie Bell's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


A nice combination there by Bell.
Bell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bell connects with the punch.
Bell throws a lazy right hand but Abessera sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bell falls off balance throwing a combination

and Abessera counters with a head kick that drops Bell!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Abessera tries to free his leg and advance position but Bell is retaining full guard.
Abessera wants to control from the top but Bell keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bell wants to stand up but Abessera is controlling him.
Abessera is standing up over Bell. Bell looks to escape but Abessera dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Abessera moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Abessera throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Bell works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

And that's the end of the fight!
Julien Abessera showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Abessera has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
