The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva connects with a solid leg kick.
Lewis checks a low kick from Da Silva.
Lewis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Da Silva lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lewis blocks a leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lewis is defended easily by Da Silva.
Da Silva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Da Silva misses with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Da Silva will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Da Silva fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Lewis is out of range.
Da Silva buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Da Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Lewis. Lewis gets slowly back to his feet.
