PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with Welcome to the Jungle blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Lesnar persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing.

Lesnar darts in and clinches Gracie up against the cage.

Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lesnar is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lesnar is just content to waste time from the top position. Gracie takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ramon Gracie will probably get the nod.

Gracie looks to throw the jab but Lesnar is out of range.
Ramon Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracie lands with an uppercut that bounces Lesnar off the cage and back into rage.

Gracie has Lesnar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lesnar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lesnar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gracie is defending well for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
