Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andy Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rey Carlo Bais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Pain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rey Carlo Bais!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pain fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pain.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Pain. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bais drives through and clinches with Pain against the cage.
Bais gets through Pain's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Bais wants the takedown. Pain is fighting it off but Bais persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pain's guard against the cage.
Pain being controlled here, momentarily.
I looks like Bais might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Bais tries to free his leg and advance position but Pain is retaining full guard.

Bais stands and steps away. Pain gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bais scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


It looks like Andy Pain has been cut.
Bais has a takedown stuffed.

Bais gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Bais has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pain is trying to keep an underhook but Bais manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Bais seems to be working for a kimura but Pain defends the submission attempt.

Bais content to control rather than advance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bais lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pain is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bais pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bais looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rey Carlo Bais dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Andy Pain's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bais lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Bais closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pain to the mat! Pain manages to get full guard.
Bais throws and elbow that misses. Pain uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bais's guard. Nice move by Pain!

Pain is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bais is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bais has escaped and now he's on top!
Bais controls from within his opponent's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rey Carlo Bais.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Bais!
Pain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bais counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bais drops an elbow to the side of Pain's head.
Bais uses his free foot to push down on Pain's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pain.
Bais fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Bais controlling the position easily from mount.
Rey Carlo Bais has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bais is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Bais scores a takedown into full mount!

Bais is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pain has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Bais controlling the position easily from mount.
Bais in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bais is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Bais drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bais is stalling in the full guard.
Bais trying to control but Pain is working from the bottom.
Bais must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bais stands and steps away. Pain gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rey Carlo Bais showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Bais fails with a takedown attempt.
Bais throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Pain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bais counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Bais lands a jab-cross combination.
Bais misses with a takedown attempt

and Pain counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bais!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bais is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Pain goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bais is on top in guard.
Bais is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Pain throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bais escapes and throws Pain's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Bais content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Bais's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rey Carlo Bais.
Pain shoots and misses
letting Bais counter with a right hand.

Bais has a takedown stuffed.
Andy Pain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rey Carlo Bais.

Bais is struggling to control the position.

Bais breaks the clinch.
Bais scores with a one two! Pain had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Pain is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bais's half guard.

Pain is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bais has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pain is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Bais to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Bais escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pain gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pain drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bais looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bais looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bais!

Bais decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Andy Pain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rey Carlo Bais is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bais closes the distance and clinches.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rey Carlo Bais comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bais has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
