Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Johnson slips a jab and a cross from Duncan.
Duncan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Johnson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Duncan throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Duncan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Duncan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Johnson.
Duncan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duncan's waist but Duncan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.

Duncan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Duncan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Duncan looks to throw the jab but Johnson is out of range.
Duncan throws a series of punches but Johnson moves out of range.

so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Duncan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Johnson drops back looking for a leg! Duncan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Duncan manages to kick Johnson off! Johnson jumps back into Duncan's guard.
Duncan wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Johnson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Duncan's guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Johnson in particular looking to stall.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Johnson is trying to work for a kimura but Duncan is defending well.

Johnson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Duncan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Johnson.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Johnson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Duncan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Johnson!
