Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between ubereem aplestair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucky Strike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, ubereem aplestair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucky Strike!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strike tries to clinch up but aplestair circles away and keeps his distance.
Strike lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like ubereem aplestair has been cut.
Strike throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

aplestair bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
aplestair is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Strike's shoulder. That is not cool.

aplestair working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Strike is pushing aplestair's head away, looking to escape. aplestair manages to hold on to the position though.

aplestair takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

aplestair closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Strike did well to prevent aplestair getting side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. aplestair connects with a nice short shot to Strike's temple.

Strike really doesn't want to stay on the ground with aplestair. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Strike wants to get back to his feet but aplestair is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Nice takedown defense from Strike. No joy for aplestair on that attempt.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Strike tries to clinch but aplestair is having none of it.
Strike throws a head kick that half lands.
Strike tries to close the distance and clinch up but aplestair swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A nice leg kick lands there from Strike.
Strike throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Strike feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to aplestair's calf.
Strike tries to clinch up but aplestair circles away and keeps his distance.
aplestair throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Strike's waist but Strike gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing aplestair off to one side.
