Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Victor Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson's entrance music is Diamond. A fine choice. Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bring Da Ruckus. This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Renato Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson misses with a body kick.
Peterson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away.

Peterson throws an overhand right that lands on Gracie's shoulder, as Gracie tries to avoid the shot.

Peterson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Peterson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Peterson momentarily.

Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Peterson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Peterson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Peterson!

Renato Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Peterson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Peterson doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Peterson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Gracie has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Gracie is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Peterson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Gracie is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Peterson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Peterson shrugs it off.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Peterson is on top in guard.

Renato Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gracie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
