The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
highroller misses with a jab, cross combination.

Markson clinches with his opponent.

Markson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Markson wants to clinch up but highroller keeps it at a distance.
The fighters circle momentarily. highroller darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Markson tries to close the distance and clinch but highroller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Markson fails to land with a series of punches.
highroller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Markson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Markson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by highroller.
highroller missing with a left hand there. Markson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A telegraphed right hand from highroller misses the target.
highroller stalks Markson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Markson's face. Markson staggers backwards, shaken.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Markson tries to score a power double leg takedown but highroller sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Markson somewhat.
highroller lands a nice looking body shot.
Markson looks gassed!
highroller swats away the attempt to clinch by Markson.
An inside leg kick from Markson misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Markson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nice takedown defense from highroller. No joy for Markson on that attempt.
timmy highroller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Markson.
highroller cracks Markson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

highroller sends Markson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! highroller is motioning to the referee to let Markson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Markson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
