Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and l l (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson comes to the cage accompanied by Ave Maria. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
l fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wilson scores with a hook to the body. l takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wilson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

l l seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
l looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

l gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wilson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Wilson wants to pass the guard but l is keeping the position.
Wilson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson passes into half guard.

Wilson is taking a breather. l says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. l knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wade Wilson.

Wilson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

l should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Wilson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Wilson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
l wants to get back to his feet.

Wilson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. l was covering up waiting for the punch and Wilson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

l wants to stand but Wilson is controlling the position.

Wilson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed l's guard.

l is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Good control from Wilson.
l really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
