PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Saari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustav Scholz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Saari might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to MACABRE - Serial Killer. Scholz has chosen Accept - Balls To The Wall as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saari smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

It looks like Gustav Scholz has been cut.
Saari avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Scholz moves in looking to clinch but Saari pushes him off.
Saari's corner calls for a 1-2. Saari obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Saari catches Scholz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Scholz walks into a stiff left hand from Saari.

Saari bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A decent looking cross lands there for Saari.
Saari connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Saari lands a nice shot that snaps Scholz's head back.
Scholz fails with an attempt to clinch.
A punch lands to the side of Scholz 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Saari swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Scholz.
Scholz doesn't manage to clinch there - Saari circles away.
Scholz tries to clinch but Saari moves out of range.
Scholz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Scholz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Saari paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fighters circle momentarily. Saari darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Saari stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Saari takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Saari lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Scholz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saari swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Scholz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saari tries to avoid it but Scholz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saari to the ground. Saari escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Scholz gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Saari connects with a good right hand that stumbles Scholz. Scholz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Saari lands a left and a right that send Scholz crashing to the mat, dazed. Saari thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Scholz is still on wobbly legs! Can Saari finish him?

Saari cracks Scholz with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Scholz tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Saari pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Scholz is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
