The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie Sr wants to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Schlagel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gracie Sr throws a head kick but Schlagel moves out of range.
Schlagel misses with a head kick.
Gracie Sr tries to clinch but Schlagel moves away
and Schlagel counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Schlagel counters with a good low kick that Gracie Sr was not able to check.
Gracie Sr has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gracie Sr there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gracie Sr wants to clinch but Schlagel slips to the side
letting Schlagel counter with a right hand.

Schlagel rushes Gracie Sr and presses him up against the cage.
Schlagel gets through Gracie Sr's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Gracie Sr tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Gracie Sr seems to have recovered his senses.

Schlagel drops Gracie Sr onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Gracie Sr is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Schlagel dips a shoulder and cracks Gracie Sr with a mighty uppercut! Gracie Sr falls back against the cage and Schlagel unloads with a barrage of strikes! Gracie Sr is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Schlagel screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
