Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bayani tries to clinch there but Kirkham circles away.
Bayani moves into range and connects with a jab.
Bayani connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kirkham tries for a takedown but Bayani sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bayani closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kirkham to the mat! Kirkham manages to get full guard.
Kirkham is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kirkham had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bayani is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kirkham Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bayani's back instead.
Kirkham working for a choke but Bayani is defending well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kirkham keeps control of the position as Bayani tries to break free.

Bayani tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Bayani tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kirkham is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bayani has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kirkham has control of Bayani's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bayani regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kirkham is breathing heavily.
Bayani tries to hold on but Kirkham pushes him away.
Bayani is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Kirkham is staying active.
Bayani is looking to get to half guard.
Bayani is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Kirkham has taken his back.

Bayani trying to survive by controlling the hands.
Bayani is in a bad position with Kirkham working for a choke. Bayani manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kirkham looking for a guillotine here but Bayani defends easily.
Bayani wants to control from the top but Kirkham keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
