The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Rocha sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rocha throws the left hand but Johnson avoids the punch easily.
Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Rocha sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Rocha got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rocha has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johnson avoids the body shot from Rocha.
Rocha tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from Rocha.
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Rocha is trying to trip Johnson. He has hold of a leg but Johnson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rocha persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
