Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre Moraes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylvester Hoodoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andre Moraes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sylvester Hoodoo!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoodoo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Moraes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hoodoo pinned against the cage. Hoodoo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hoodoo throws a series of punches but Moraes moves out of range.

Hoodoo scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Moraes looking for submissions off his back.

Moraes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hoodoo pulls his head out easily.

Moraes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hoodoo is working away from the top position though.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sylvester Hoodoo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andre Moraes.
Well Hoodoo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
