And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vega clinches.
Vega using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Vega throws a knee to the head but misses.
Vega goes for a takedown in the clinch but Puckett prevents it.
Vega throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Puckett blocks it with crossed arms.
Vega tries a knee to the head but Puckett blocks it.
Vega has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Puckett is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Vega scores with a knee to the head.
Vega lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Kirby Puckett has been cut.
Vega throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Puckett blocks it with crossed arms.
Vega with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Vega changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Puckett fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kirby Puckett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Vega.
Vega ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Puckett sends Vega crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Puckett is motioning to the referee to let Vega up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Puckett sends Vega crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Puckett is motioning to the referee to let Vega up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Vega is rocked!
Puckett blocks the body kick.
Vega is still on wobbly legs! Can Puckett finish him?
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Puckett engages and cracks Vega with a massive lead left hook - Vega tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Puckett is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
