Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikami Teru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikami Teru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Cannon!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Chris Cannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters circle momentarily. Teru darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Teru lands with a nice combination. Cannon backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Chris Cannon has been cut.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Teru stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Teru wants it to stay on the feet.
Cannon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Teru.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cannon looks to land a left hand but Teru moved out of range nicely.

Teru lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Teru throws a hook but Cannon blocks it.
Cannon tries for a takedown but Teru sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cannon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Teru swivels and escapes.
Teru throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cannon.
Teru slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Cannon walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Cannon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Teru tries to bum rush Cannon with a series of wild strikes but Cannon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Teru scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cannon doesn't seem bothered though.

Teru scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Teru decides to stand back up. Teru steps back and let's Cannon get back to his feet.
Teru tries to bum rush Cannon with a series of wild strikes but Cannon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Cannon wants to hit a switch here but Teru passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cannon there!

Teru seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cannon for as long as he can get away with.

Cannon is looking to get to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cannon tries to hold on but Teru pushes him away.
Cannon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Well, if Teru is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cannon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Teru is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Teru is trying to stand up here but Cannon is controlling him well.
Teru knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cannon on the ground.

enabling Teru to counter with a crisp jab.

Teru connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Mikami Teru is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Teru lands with a shot to the body.
Chris Cannon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cannon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mikami Teru showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Teru has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
