The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ringland shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts James as he jumps to the side.
James throws a nice looking combination but Ringland bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ringland wants to clinch up but James keeps it at a distance.

James fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

James lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ringland accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

James got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ringland has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, James has managed to get both his arms back between Ringland's legs - danger averted.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
