PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Herb Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Herb Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Rock!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Rock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Dean is squirming around, avoiding Rock's attempts to control the action.
Dean is trying desperately to improve position.
Dean wants to control but Rock is having none of it.
Rock punching from mount but Dean doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Dean wants to hold on but Rock pushes him away.
Dean is wriggling around trying to escape.
Dean wants to try and get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rock misses with a head shot.
Dean tries to lock up and control but Rock gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rock cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rock avoids the attempt from Dean to control.
Dean sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Dean tries to get to full guard but Rock has control of the leg.
Rock not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Dean is looking to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rock wants to take a breather but Dean is having none of it.
Rock misses with a head shot. Dean uses the momentum to regain guard.
Dean tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rock trying to control but Dean is working from the bottom.
Dean is adopting a defensive guard.
Dean is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rock is controlling him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rock wants to control from the top but Dean keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John Rock.
Dean lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dean.
Dean cracks Rock with a good jab.
Rock shoots in for a takedown but Dean shows good takedown defense.
Rock looks gassed!
Dean tries to close the distance and clinch but Rock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rock clinches but Dean breaks the clinch
and Dean counters with a left to the body.
Rock takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dean throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Dean misses with a body kick.
Rock takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dean lands with a big left! Rock is wobbled badly! Dean comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Rock to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
