Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Bessman.
Bessman throws a body punch but Torres moves out of range.
Torres takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Some wild striking there from Bessman.
Torres closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Bessman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Torres goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bessman rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Torres's guard! Nice work there by Bessman!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bessman tries to free his leg and advance position but Torres is retaining full guard.
Bessman passes Torres's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bessman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Torres doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bessman.

Torres had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bessman defends it easily.
Torres is breathing heavily.
Bessman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Torres's guard.

Bessman seems to be working for a kimura but Torres defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bessman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Torres keeps working.

Bessman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Torres has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bessman has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Torres defend it? Bessman steps over the head and cranks it - Torres is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bessman!
